The service behind the name
VetsOnCall is owned and operated by Blake Lannan, a United States Air Force veteran who was honorably discharged and continues to serve today in the Arizona Air National Guard. That is not a line in a footer here. It is the operating manual for the company.
Air Force work runs on a standard that does not bend around convenience. A time is a time. A checklist gets finished, not mostly finished. Equipment gets left the way you found it or better. Nobody walks away from a task because it turned out to be heavier or dirtier than expected. Those habits are unremarkable in uniform and startlingly rare in the home services industry.
So every VetsOnCall job gets treated like a tasking. We arrive inside the window we gave you. We do exactly what was quoted, at the price that was quoted. We sweep up behind ourselves. And if something goes wrong, you talk to the owner, not a call center in a different state.
Why VetsOnCall exists
If you needed junk hauled in Tucson, you used to have two bad options. On one side, the big national franchises: recognizable trucks, a call center that books you a week out, a price built around a corporate fee structure, and a different crew every visit who has no relationship with your neighborhood or your property.
On the other side, a single truck operator found through a classified ad. Sometimes excellent. Often unreachable by Thursday, uninsured, and gone if something gets damaged on the way out of a hallway.
There was nothing in the middle. No local company that was small enough to answer its own phone and disciplined enough to run like a real business. That gap is the reason VetsOnCall exists. Fully insured, locally owned, straight pricing confirmed in person before anything is loaded, and one name on the account that is accountable when it matters.
Being veteran run also means base installation access. We can work on military installations directly, residential or commercial, which matters enormously for Davis-Monthan families facing a PCS timeline that does not negotiate.
What on call 24/7 actually means
Plenty of companies put 24/7 on a website and route your nine o'clock call to a voicemail box that gets checked Monday. Here it means a veteran picks up the phone.
Junk removal emergencies are real and they never happen at ten in the morning on a Tuesday. A tenant vacates a rental at midnight and the unit has to turn. A monsoon cell drops a mesquite limb across a driveway on a Saturday evening. Orders come down and a house has to be clear by Friday. A closing date moves up and the seller is out of state. Those are the calls that actually need answering.
Same day service is genuinely available, not a marketing asterisk. If we cannot get to you today, we will say so on the phone instead of booking you and rescheduling. And we still come out to look at the job in person before giving you a firm number, because a price quoted sight unseen is a price that changes later.
